IAC Short for Internet Access Coalition, a consortium of companies involved in the Internet, including AT&T, Microsoft, and MCI. The IAC's stated purpose is to maintain the affordability of Internet access over telephone lines and accelerate the availability of inexpensive digital telephone network connections to the Internet.
